Itinerary
Experience the Rose City’s most renowned nature escape, the world famous Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. This narrated half day tour showcases the incredible diversity of scenery at Portland’s doorstep. We travel to Multnomah Falls along the river level route of the Lewis and Clark expedition and enjoy the unfolding panorama including Rooster Rock, Cape Horn, and Mist Falls, all sights first noted by the famous explorers over 200 years ago. You will have 30 minutes at the Falls to visit the viewpoint for photos, walk to the famous Benson footbridge at the base of the falls, and visit the historic landmark Multnomah Falls Lodge.
We will continue to the Bonneville Fish Hatchery and Dam in the heart of the Gorge, to visit the landmark sites including the sturgeon ponds and fish ladders. In April, May, June (until 6/27), September (after 9/5), October, and November the Bonneville Dam and Fish Hatchery are excluded but then travel over the Historic Columbia River Highway which features a portion of the world famous waterfall corridor, the “Latourell Loops” and Falls, and Sheppard’s Dell and a 20 minute stop at Vista House is included.
Upon our return to Portland, you will again enjoy the unfolding panorama including Beacon Rock, (a massive monolith), Mist Falls, Cape Horn, and Rooster Rock. Return to Portland is approximately 11:45 am or 3:45 on the peak season afternoon tour.
The visit to Bonneville Dam and the Dam Fish Hatchery are not to be missed or Visit Crown Point and Vista House with its spectacular views (date dependent). Enjoy the stop at Multnomah Falls.

The tour does not stop for lunch, as you are back in Portland by 11:45pm or if on the afternoon tour at 3:45pm.. Snacks are available at Multnomah Falls Lodge. There are restrooms at all of our stops and the motorcoach is restroom equipped.
Note: In the Spring and early Summer, April 3 to May 22, and early Fall, October 23 to November 20, this tour operates on Saturdays. In the Summer and Fall shoulder seasons, May 29 to June 25 and September 9 to October 17, this tour only operates on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. The balance of the Summer, June 26 to September 6, it operates daily.

Pickup Info
The pickups for the Multnomah Falls & Columbia River Gorge Tour portion are centralized into four areas of downtown. The first stop will be a pickup at the Marriott Waterfront on SW Clay at 8:30 am. Second will be a stop in front of the Canopy Hotel (at 8:40 am). The third stop is the Benson Hotel (at 8:45 am) and the fourth in front of the Heathman Hotel (8:50 am). Last will be the pickup at our ticket booth on SW Naito for ticketing purposes (depart 9:00 am). See the stop listing to see what stop serves which of the many hotels in each area of downtown.
Our easy to find boarding location is at 525 SW Naito Parkway. This is at foot of downtown Portland, across the street from the waterfront and just north of the Morrison Bridge. It is in a parking lot so look for the miniature Pink Trolley Sales Booth. The tour departs at 9:00am so please arrive no later than 8:20am to exchange your voucher for a ticket at our Gray Line/Pink Trolley Sightseeing sales booth.
